Your move stays yours
FairMatch Homes is currently an invite-only private beta. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, what we never share with other homeowners, and how you can control or delete your data.
What we collect
Account details (email, authentication data), the details you enter about your current home and the home you're looking for, photos you choose to upload, the search areas you draw on the map, your move preferences and timeline, and usage analytics (which screens you visit, which steps you complete) so we can improve the product.
What is never shared with other homeowners
Your exact street address, financial details (mortgage balance, target price, or any figures you enter), your phone number and email, and your full name — none of these are ever shown to a match until you have a mutual interest and choose to reveal more. Even after a mutual match, some fields (like financial detail) are never shared; they're for your own planning only.
Who can see what, and when
Before you express interest, a candidate match sees only a scored summary and generalized details (home type, approximate area, high-level preferences). After mutual interest, more home detail and photos become visible if you've chosen to share them. Our team can see account and moderation data to keep the platform safe — see our Trust & safety page for exactly what moderators can and cannot see.
Photo storage
Photos you upload are stored securely and are only shown to matches according to your sharing settings. You can remove a photo at any time, which removes it from anywhere it was displayed.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active and for a limited period after you request deletion, so we can complete the deletion safely across our systems. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the route below — we aim to complete deletion requests promptly.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and first-party product analytics (page views and in-product events like completing an onboarding step) to understand where the product is working and where it isn't. Analytics never include your address, financial figures, or message content.
Third-party property data
We may use third-party property-data providers to help estimate home value and details. During the beta, some property data shown may be demonstration/sample data rather than a live lookup — we label demo accounts and content wherever we can, and property estimates are never a substitute for an appraisal.
